How Hunt Local works

1. 1Search. Filter by province, species, dates and group size. You only see farms that are actually open for your dates.
2. 2Choose your hunt. Each farm lists its experiences - biltong, trophy, bow, bird - all booked at the same accommodation rate.
3. 3Book your dates. Pick dates the farm has open and book them. The hunt is confirmed there and then - no waiting on anyone.
4. 4Get confirmed. The farm accepts or declines and you are emailed either way. A confirmation brings the exact location, directions and the farm's number.
5. 5Pay. A 25% deposit or the full amount, and only once the farm has accepted. You pay the farm's price - our commission comes off their side.
6. 6Hunt. Deal directly with the farm on the day. Trophy fees and extras are settled with them.

1. 1List free. We help you set up your listing, experiences and accommodation rate. Listing costs nothing.
2. 2Manage availability. Keep your calendar current and Hunt Local only sells dates you're actually open.
3. 3Keep your calendar current. Close the dates you can't take from your dashboard and nobody can book them. Bookings arrive by email with the hunter's dates, group size and species already captured.
4. 4Get paid. Earnings sit in your wallet until after the hunt, then you withdraw to your bank account.

Hunters pay the farm's advertised price - nothing is added on top. Farms pay 12% commission on the booking total, which is accommodation plus any day fee, dropping to 10% on Pro and 8% on Premium. Trophy and species fees are never commissioned.
