We use one analytics tool that is not strictly necessary, so we ask before it loads.
It counts page views through Vercel, who host this site. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and cannot follow you anywhere else - but opening a page does tell Vercel that someone visited, and that is a third party, so it is your call rather than ours. Nothing loads until you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time.

- Records whether you allowed analytics, so you are asked once rather than on every page. Storing the refusal is what makes a refusal stick, which is why this one is kept even when you say no.

Strictly necessary, and preferences
Strictly necessary means the site cannot do its job without it. Our one cookie keeps you logged in; without it you could not book anything, because bookings need an account. Cookies like this do not require your consent, in South Africa or anywhere else.
Preference items are not cookies at all. They live in your browser's local storage, never get sent to us automatically, and only remember choices you made - which farms you saved, and whether you picked English or Afrikaans.
Turning them off
You can clear or block all of it in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will stop you logging in, which means you will not be able to book. Clearing local storage will lose any farms you saved before creating an account, and reset the language toggle.
Logging out clears your session cookie. Saved farms attached to your account are stored on our side rather than in your browser, so clearing your browser does not lose them.
