About this farm
Ten thousand hectares of Kalahari sand and duneveld about 12 km from Vanzylsrus, hunted across three farms. An old renovated farmhouse with generator power and hot water: plenty of character, no luxuries.

Accommodation
A renovated farmhouse sleeping about 14, with generator power, hot water and flush toilets. Freezer, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, a gas stove and a fully equipped kitchen are provided, and bedding is available. R500 per person per night covers hunters and non-hunters alike. The vehicle and worker fees are charged per group per day rather than per hunter, so they get cheaper the larger the party.
Per person, per night. Hunt Local takes commission on this and on any day fee, never on trophy or species fees, which you settle with the farm.

Kalahari Hunt
Typical Kalahari sand and duneveld across roughly 10,000 hectares on three farms: Tevrede, Leeuduin and Middelplaas. Springbok and gemsbok are the mainstay, with sand grouse shooting for anyone who brings a shotgun.

Company trips, client days and large mixed parties are quoted by the farm rather than booked off the nightly rate, because they usually want catering, guiding and the lodge to themselves.

Payment
- The deposit is the full night fee for the group, is not refundable on cancellation, and is payable in the first week of January. Receipt of it confirms the booking.
Property
- Hunters bring their own food, ice, drink, toiletries and towels. Bedding is provided, but bring a duvet or sleeping bag if you feel the cold.
- Mobile reception on the property is limited.
Access
- Northern Cape hunting licences must be taken out and are available from the shop at Vanzylsrus. The licence doubles as the transport permit.
- The hunting vehicle is provided and driven by the owner or his foreman. Using your own vehicle is allowed on the same terms, with the owner or foreman still driving and you supplying your own fuel.
- Groups of eight or more rotate between morning and afternoon sessions, four to five hunters per vehicle. Walk-and-stalk camps are available for anyone who would rather not sit.
These are the farm's terms, not Hunt Local's, and they are settled between you and the farm on the day. We show them so nothing on the account at the end is a surprise.
